Job Title: Plant Manager – Rubber Compounding & Mixing

Location: Vasai, Maharashtra
Experience Required: 8 to 12 Years
Salary: Up to ₹16 LPA

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on professional to manage rubber compounding and mixing operations at our Vasai plant. The candidate should have in-depth technical knowledge of elastomer formulations, batch mixing, and material properties, along with strong plant-floor leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations of rubber compounding and mixing plant, ensuring quality and productivity targets.

• Plan and execute batch production as per BOM/specifications using internal mixers (Banbury), kneaders, and open mills.

• Monitor and optimize mixing cycles, temperatures, and raw material feeding to achieve consistent compound quality.

• Supervise raw material inventory, batch traceability, and ensure minimal wastage.

• Coordinate with R&D and Quality teams for compound trials, testing, and validation.

• Maintain safety protocols, equipment calibration, and preventive maintenance schedules.

• Ensure compliance with internal ISO/TS/IATF standards and maintain relevant documentation.

• Train and guide production staff, machine operators, and helpers on SOPs and best practices.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of rubber polymers (NR, SBR, EPDM, NBR, FKM, etc.), fillers, and additives.

• Experience with Banbury mixers, kneaders, mills, and strainers.

• Understanding of compound rheology, viscosity checks, and laboratory testing.

• Sound leadership, shop-floor discipline, and man-management skills.

• Familiarity with ERP/MIS systems for batch control and reporting.

Educational Qualification:

• Diploma / B.Tech / B.Sc. in Rubber Technology / Polymer Science / Chemical Engineering
