Project Manager(Hea Job/ 132)

•    Project Manager Role: Requires hands-on experience implementing a full-fledged MES (Manufacturing Execution System) solution. Candidates need 5-7 years of experience with understanding of manufacturing shop floor processes. The role involves working with cross-functional teams, including IT, operators, and quality representatives, and understanding how MES interfaces with Oracle ERP. Needs to be onsite at Rohtak.
•    Additional Requirements: Involves training functional partners, maintaining relationships with teams, and ensuring understanding of MES. Success is measured by keeping functional teams on target, training quality, and support metrics like response time and uptime. 

Candidate Requirements: Project Manager Role
•    Experience: 5-7 years of experience with MES implementation experience. Candidates with 9-10 years of experience are less desirable.
•    Technical Skills: Experience with ticketing solutions (preferably ServiceNow), project management tracking software (like MS Planner), and understanding of MES functions (e.g., GE Proficy or similar). SQL knowledge is required for issue diagnosis.
•    Industry Background: Manufacturing background is desirable, with familiarity in modern manufacturing methodologies (aerospace, transportation, motorcycle parts, etc.).
•    Personal Skills: Ability to maintain relationships with cross-functional teams and provide adequate training.

Role Description & Responsibilities
•    Implementation & Support: The role is a mix of MES implementation and support. Initially, the candidate will be trained in Wabtec's MES and OPS vision suite, and then work on an implementation project in Hosur and Rohtak.
•    Cross-functional Liaison: Act as a liaison between the MES team in the US and functional partners in the plant, providing training and report outs.
•    Daily Reporting: Report to Sean daily on completion statistics and project status.
•    Long-Term: The role will transition into subject matter expertise in MES and support, reporting to Gary (support owner) after the implementation project.

Team Structure & Reporting
•    Reporting: During the implementation, the candidate will report locally to Neha and dotted line to Sean. After implementation, they will report to Gary, the support owner.
•    Team Size: The application team (vertically integrated with development, implementation, and support) has 15 people.
•    Functional Teams: Work with functional teams in Hosur (5 focus factories) and Rohtak (2 lines for brakes and friction components).

Location & Travel
•    On-site Requirement: The candidate must work on-site five days a week at either the Hosur or Rohtak plant, not the Wabtec office in Bangalore (ITC).

Success Measurement
•    Implementation: Ability to keep functional teams on target, report issues, and provide adequate training, as well as adhere to training timelines and schedules.
•    Support: Measured by response time to tickets, meeting SLAs, and ensuring application uptime by informing architects of potential issues.
