Job Description

Position: Sales Trainer
Industry: Matrimonial Services / Online Matchmaking
Qualification: Graduate
Experience Required: 4-7 years of experience
Location: Mumbai (Andheri)
Compensation: Up to 7 LPA + Incentives
Interview Process: 4 rounds (HR telephonic, 2 video rounds, and 1 F2F)
Language Requirements: Fluency in English + Marathi
Openings: 1 position (Permanent Role) 1 position ( Contractual Role)
Shift Timing: Flexible shifts - Day shifts (10:30 AM to 7:30 PM [ this is for contractual role] ) or Night shifts (11:00 PM to 8:00 AM[ this is for permanent role] )
Note: Night shift assignments come with an additional daily allowance of ₹100

Key Responsibilities

Training & Development

  • Design and deliver comprehensive sales training programs for newly hired trainees (NHTs)
  • Conduct engaging onboarding sessions for new sales personnel
  • Develop innovative training materials, modules, and assessment tools
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through regular assessments
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to sales team members

Performance Management

  • Track and analyze individual and team performance metrics
  • Identify skill gaps and create targeted improvement plans
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and constructive feedback sessions
  • Maintain detailed training records and progress reports

Sales Support & Intervention

Critical Requirement: Actively step in to assist new trainees who struggle with closing sales deals

  • Demonstrate practical sales techniques through real-time deal closure
  • Provide hands-on support during challenging sales situations
  • Ensure successful deal completion when trainees face difficulties
  • Lead by example in sales best practices

Team Leadership

  • Foster a positive and motivating learning environment
  • Collaborate with sales managers to align training with business objectives
  • Support team morale and maintain high engagement levels
  • Build a culture of continuous learning and improvement

Must-Have Qualifications

Experience and Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 4-7 years of proven experience in sales training and development
  • Strong track record of training newly hired trainees (NHTs)
  • Demonstrated ability to close sales deals independently
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in developing training curricula and materials

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong sales acumen with hands-on closing experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and mentoring abilities
  • Analytical skills for performance assessment
  • Adaptability to work in both morning and evening shifts
  • Proficiency in training tools and CRM systems
  • Leadership and team management capabilities

Language Proficiency

English + Marathi proficiency is the first priority for effective communication with customers

Interview Process

The selection process includes 4 comprehensive rounds:

  1. Initial HR screening (telephonic)
  2. Technical/functional assessment (video)
  3. Management interview (video)
  4. Final selection round (Face-to-Face)

Mandatory Screening Questions

Primary Question: "How many NHT (Newly Hired Trainees) have you trained so far in your career?"

Work Schedule

  • Shift Options: Day shifts (10:30 AM to 7:30 PM) or Night shifts (11:00 PM to 8:00 AM)
  • Schedule: Two rotational offs
  • Weekend Availability: Required when needed, even during designated off days
