Job Description:

Experienced LAN/SD-WAN Consultant with hands-on expertise on Huawei Products to support design, deployment, and optimization of Huawei-based network infrastructures. The Consultant will work closely with clients to deliver consulting, implementation, and support services for Huawei LAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN technologies, aligning with enterprise business and digital transformation goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Consulting & Advisory

• Conduct discovery workshops to assess customer LAN, WLAN/SD-WAN readiness and current architecture.
• Translate business requirements into Huawei-driven technical solutions.
• Provide guidance on Huawei product selection, licensing, and architectural fit
• Design & Architecture
• Design scalable, secure, and resilient network topologies using Huawei CloudWAN, AR Series routers, and S Series switches.
• Develop high-level and low-level design (HLD/LLD) documents for LAN/WLAN/SDWAN solutions.
• Plan controller placement using iMaster NCE-WAN/Campus, including access and transport layer integration.

Deployment & Implementation

• Lead or support deployment of Huawei SD-WAN and LAN infrastructure across enterprise campuses and branches.
• Configure CPE/uCPE devices (e.g. AR1600/AR8000) and Huawei switches (e.g. S5700, S6720).
• Implement service templates, policy-based routing, link failover, and QoS policies.

Operations & Handover

• Integrate with monitoring tools (iMaster NCE, eSight) and configure performance dashboards and alarms.
• Support pilot rollouts and proof of concept (PoC) implementations.
• Document and hand over solutions to operational teams with proper training and documentation.
• Evaluate firmware versions, security patches, and compliance adherence.

Support & Optimization

• Troubleshoot complex network issues and support RCA and performance tuning.
• Evaluate firmware versions, security patches, and compliance adherence.
• Recommend optimization strategies and continuous improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Huawei CloudWAN/SD-WAN, AR routers, S Series switches, WLAN APs.
• Expertise with Huawei iMaster NCE-WAN and iMaster NCE-Campus controllers.
• Experience with routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, IS-IS; VPNs; IPsec; NAT; QoS.
• Solid understanding of application-aware routing, policy-based forwarding, and hybrid WAN strategies.
• Familiar with CLI and web UI for Huawei devices; Netconf/YANG and automation experience a plus.

Certifications (preferred):

• HCIP or HCIE (Enterprise Network / Routing & Switching / SD-WAN)
• Huawei Certified ICT Expert or Professional-level certifications.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management.
• Consulting mindset with solution-oriented approach.
• Ability to lead discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Experience:

• 2–3 enterprise-level deployments using Huawei SD-WAN and/or LAN platforms.
• Experience with hybrid environments (Huawei + Cisco/Fortinet/Aruba).
• Worked with MSPs or SI delivery teams in customer-facing roles.

Travel Requirements:

Occasional onsite deployment or workshops based on client location.
