The Officer, IT is mainly responsible for maintaining and monitoring computer and network systems of Modon. Installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults and solving technical problems are also core duties to the IT support officers
- Install and update operating systems and related company’s software.
- Diagnose software, hardware, network errors, and solve the issues in the shortest period.
- Install, configure and troubleshoot all technology related devices; printers, scanners, desk phones…etc.
- Troubleshoot viruses and malwares.
- Assist Modon’s end users in person and remotely when needed.
- Monitor data center facility and the processing of critical systems/servers.
- Document and report all necessary activities to IT manager.
- Ensure to perform the required imaging and backup on regular basis to maintain the data from being lost or damaged by any means.
- Support and liaise vendors for hardware or software fixes

- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent
- Ability to work overtime, including holidays and weekends, as scheduled
- Basic knowledge in at least three of the following
- End-user computer device hardware
- Common 'off the shelf' software
- End-point security technologies
- Device networking (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi), Active Directory and Group Policy
- Mobility and remote access technologies
- Virtualization technologies
- General understanding of infrastructure design, development and deployment
- Certifications/accreditations in IT is a plus
- Previous GCC experience is a plus
- Able to respond to IT emergencies 24/7
- Ability to communicate in an effective manner with others both verbally and written.
- Strong technical expertise and investigation skills
- Strong project management skills
- Good working level of knowledge and expertise with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of software development.
