5+ years in observability/SRE/DevOps engineering roles.

Strong expertise in Grafana, Prometheus, Sumo Logic, and OpenTelemetry.

Advanced PromQL query writing and Grafana panel/alert development.

Proficiency in Kubernetes operations (pods, services, scaling, RBAC, troubleshooting).

Strong knowledge of DevOps automation (Terraform, Helm, CI/CD, GitOps).

Familiarity with Dynatrace, Datadog, or New Relic in hybrid environments.

Experience handling large-scale distributed systems monitoring.

Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their observability APIs.

Excellent debugging skills in Linux, networking, and distributed applications.

Observability Architecture & Strategy

Design and implement end-to-end observability pipelines spanning metrics, logs, traces, events, and user experience telemetry.
Define SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for mission-critical services; ensure they are monitored and reported in Grafana/Sumo Logic/Dynatrace.
Standardize Open Telemetry instrumentation across microservices (Go, Java, Python, Node.js) and propagate traces across service meshes (Istio/Linkerd).
Define alerting hierarchies (symptom-based → cause-based), reduce noise, and implement multi-signal correlation for incidents.
