Job Description
• Identify key performance indicators and planning rules to drive measurable outcomes.
• Formulate cost models and effective optimisation strategies in collaboration with commercial and marketing teams.
• Develop capacity and availability models to produce short- and long-term utilisation forecasts, identify constraints, run scenario analyses, and assess the impact of optimisation strategies on network performance and dependent systems.
• Validate end-to-end data flows (inputs, processing logic, outputs) and investigate anomalies on a day-to-day basis.
• Build and maintain reports and dashboards to track usage, performance, business impact and cost savings.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams (developers, data engineers and data scientists), subject matter experts and business stakeholders and communicate delivery plans to downstream teams.
• Document workflows, system behaviour, and data requirements.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions and operational investigations, providing quick, data-driven insights to internal stakeholders.
• Communicate insights clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through compelling data visualisations and presentations.
• Continuously seek areas for improvement in system usage and process efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience:
• 3+ years of proven commercial experience in a technical, analytical, or operations-focused role involving complex systems or applications.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and validate complex data sets.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying large datasets for validating data integrity, troubleshooting and reporting purposes
• Basic Python skills for scripting, automation, or data manipulation tasks.
• Strong experience with reporting and visualisation tools such as Grafana, Apache Superset, Tableau, or similar.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience working within a telco operator environment
• Understanding of network operations and/or telecommunications technologies with a focus on Voice and Messaging architectures.
• Exposure to MVNO environments with hands-on involvement in capacity planning and/or interconnect routing.
• Experienced in planning and monitoring the performance of mobile interconnects, tracking quality of service and utilisation, and taking corrective actions to meet cost and performance targets.
• Skilled in assessing and selecting optimal routing and interconnection solutions for voice calls and messaging, balancing cost, quality, and resiliency through close collaboration with technical and commercial teams.
• Applied knowledge in optimisation engines, algorithms, or rule-based decision systems with a focus on cost-efficiency and resource optimisation
• Familiarity with evaluating and improving automated decision-making processes or logic flows.
