Job Description

Role Overview
The QA Engineer will work closely with Development, Product, and Data Science teams to ensure that Akrys products deliver reliable performance and exceptional quality. This role requires experience in manual testing, test automation, and validating AI-based features in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Perform manual and automation testing across web applications, backend services, and AI-driven workflows.

* Design, write, and maintain test cases, test plans, and test scripts.

* Develop and maintain automation test suites (UI & API).

* Validate and benchmark AI model outputs for accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

* Conduct functional, regression, integration, system, performance, and usability testing.

* Work with Engineering to debug issues and support root cause analysis.

* Create test reports and maintain strong bug documentation.

* Support CI/CD-based quality gates and contribute to overall QA process improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications
* 4–6 years of experience as a QA Engineer, with strong exposure to manual and automation testing.

* Hands-on experience testing web applications (UI + backend + API).

* Strong automation experience using one or more: Selenium / Playwright / Cypress / WebDriverIO.

* Experience in API testing & automation using tools such as Postman, RestAssured, Karate, or similar.

* Understanding and testing experience with AI/ML application workflows.

* Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).

* Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, QA methodologies, and bug lifecycle.

* Strong analytical and communication skills.

Automation Engineer Skills (Must-Have)
* Ability to design and build automation frameworks (UI and API).

* Scripting proficiency in Python or JavaScript.

* Knowledge of test data generation, mocking, and environment configuration.

* Ability to evaluate and choose appropriate automation tools and frameworks.

* Familiarity with version control (Git) and working in Agile environments.

Nice to Have
* Experience in healthcare domain or knowledge of HIPAA / healthcare compliance.

* Exposure to cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP).

* Experience with performance testing (JMeter, Locust, k6).
