Role Summary

The role will be responsible for managing domestic logistics operations across India, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of finished goods from manufacturing facilities to customers and distributors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage pan-India transportation and distribution operations.
• Ensure on-time delivery and customer service excellence.
• Coordinate with plants, warehouses, sales teams, and transport partners.
• Optimize logistics costs through route planning and freight negotiations.
• Monitor dispatch planning and vehicle placement.
• Manage transportation contracts and vendor relationships.
• Drive improvements in logistics efficiency and service levels.
• Track logistics performance metrics and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with logistics and transportation regulations.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 10+ years of experience in domestic logistics within steel, pipes & tubes, metals, or manufacturing sectors.
• Strong understanding of road and rail transportation networks.
• Experience managing large-scale dispatch operations.
• Expertise in freight negotiation and transporter management.
• SAP/ERP exposure preferred.
