Automation Appium Test Engineer (RARR Job 5749)

We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Java, Selenium WebDriver, and Appium to design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate should have solid understanding of automation best practices, CI/CD integration, and testing methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, and Appium.

• Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks (Hybrid, Data-driven, Page Object Model, BDD/Cucumber).

• Perform Web UI, Mobile (Android/iOS), API, and regression testing using automation tools.

• Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and define automation scope.

• Integrate automation test suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab/GitHub Actions).

• Identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and track them using Jira or similar defect tracking tools.

• Analyze automation results and provide detailed test reports.

• Participate in code reviews and follow best programming and testing practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5–8 years of experience in automation testing.

• Strong programming experience in Java (OOPS, Collections, Exception handling).

• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Appium (Android/iOS automation).

• Experience in building scalable automation frameworks (POM / Hybrid / BDD Cucumber).

• Experience with test management tools: JIRA, ALM, TestRail, Zephyr, etc.

• Strong understanding of testing methodologies (Agile/Scrum).

• Experience with Maven/Gradle, TestNG/JUnit.

• Strong knowledge of Git/GitHub/SVN version control processes.

• Experience with API testing and automation (RestAssured/Postman) is an added advantage.

• Experience with cloud-based automation platforms like BrowserStack/Sauce Labs is a plus.
