GCP BigQuery Lead/Architect (RARR Job 6141)

We are looking for a skilled GCP BigQuery Data Engineer with lead or architect level to design, develop, and optimize large-scale data warehouse solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in BigQuery, data pipelines (ETL/ELT), and SQL performance optimization, along with hands-on experience in building scalable and secure data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize BigQuery data models, schemas, and storage structures for performance and cost efficiency
• Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Cloud Composer (Airflow), Dataflow, and Dataproc
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries (GoogleSQL) for high-performance data processing
• Manage data ingestion pipelines using tools such as Pub/Sub and Dataflow
• Integrate data from multiple sources into BigQuery and ensure data quality
• Implement data governance, security, and access control mechanisms
• Monitor and optimize query performance and BigQuery resource utilization (cost control)
• Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and business teams for data solutions
• Document data architecture, processes, and workflows

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience with GCP BigQuery and Cloud Storage (Mandatory)
• Proficiency in SQL (GoogleSQL) and Python
• Experience in building ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows
• Hands-on experience with Dataflow, Cloud Composer (Airflow), or Dataproc
• Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts
• Experience with data ingestion tools like Pub/Sub
• Understanding of data governance, security, and access controls
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
