Manager / Sr. Manager / AGM : Coking Coal (RARR Job 6323)

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing & Procurement
• Lead the sourcing and procurement of imported raw materials, primarily Coking Coal (mandatory experience), along with PCI Coal and other imported commodities.
• Manage vendor identification, evaluation, development, and relationship management.
• Conduct technical analysis and evaluation of new coal blends, including Coking Coal, Semi-Hard Coal, PCI Coal, and Thermal Coal, for a requirement of approximately 2 MTPA.
• Assess material requirements, estimate lead times, and initiate procurement processes accordingly.
• Develop and execute Value in Use (VIU) models using optimization tools to minimize coal blend costs.
• Coordinate closely with the Finance team for procurement planning and budgeting.

Contract & Vendor Management
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and contracts based on commodity specifications and market indices.
• Handle end-to-end contract management, contract enforcement, and compliance.
• Manage claims, insurance-related matters, and dispute resolution.
• Maintain strong coordination with internal stakeholders and end users.
• Prepare fortnightly and monthly MIS reports.
• Conduct vendor account reconciliations.

Financial Planning & Coordination
• Manage monthly, weekly, and daily fund planning for approximately ₹500 Crore of monthly OPEX.
• Coordinate vendor payments through LC, TT, and RTGS mechanisms.
• Negotiate alternative payment arrangements, including barter transactions, where applicable.

Material Management & Inventory Control
• Implement systems to monitor inventory levels and identify slow-moving or non-moving inventory.
• Continuously track inventory across plant locations, railway transit, ports, high-seas transit, and load ports.
• Ensure optimum inventory levels while minimizing working capital blockage.
• Manage MIS and maintain procurement and inventory databases.

Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination
• Negotiate and finalize vessel chartering and shipping contracts.
• Lead bulk shipping operations, vessel chartering activities, and port operations.
• Coordinate customs clearance and inland transportation.
• Plan inbound logistics to maintain optimal plant inventory levels in line with the VIU coal blending model.

Marketing & Sales
• Support Low Ash Metallurgical Coal marketing and sales activities.

Mandatory Requirement: Hands-on experience in sourcing and procurement of Imported/ Domestic Coking Coal.
