Playwright Cypress Test Engineer (RARR Job 5759)

We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Playwright, Cypress, BDD Cucumber, and Java/Python. The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years of total experience, including a minimum of 4 years in automation testing, with a proven track record of building and maintaining robust UI automation frameworks. The candidate should be capable of designing end-to-end automation solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, executing test strategies, and ensuring high-quality delivery in an Agile environment. Immediate joiners are preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright and Cypress.

• Implement and enhance automation frameworks using BDD Cucumber.

• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to understand requirements and ensure high-quality releases.

• Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and agile ceremonies as part of a collaborative team.

• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing for web-based applications.

• Identify automation opportunities and optimize existing test suites for performance and reliability.

• Debug issues, analyze root causes, and provide detailed defect reports.

• Ensure continuous integration of automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.

• Maintain documentation for test plans, scenarios, and processes.

• Ensure adherence to automation best practices and testing standards.

Good to Have (Desirable Skills)

• Experience with API testing (Postman/RestAssured)

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)

• Understanding of version control (Git)

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
